I've waiting over a year, since shortly after I first started the podcast, to present this episode!
I just discovered this musical by dumb luck at my local library. When I gave it a listen, I found it humorous and thought it captured the caucus scene in Iowa so well.
And well it should, as it is written by Robert John Ford, a native son of Iowa, who has written other musicals about Iowa such "Six-On-Six", "Utopia - The Iowa Musical Revue", and "First in the Nation", as well as plays and musicals not about Iowa.
And this very musical, which we feature some selections from, is playing right now at The Stoner Theater in Des Moines! With five new songs and other songs updated!
