Episode 20: A Jimi Strychnine Scribner Dedication

For those of you who don't know, Jimi was head chef at The House of Bricks, which later became Streetcar 209. He has also been a regular part and supporter of the Des Moines music scene, especially the metal/hard rock scene.

I have to admit that before I started this podcast episode, I did not know who Jimi Strychnine Scribner was. But since I've worked on it, I've come to realize that this is my lost.

Jimi does seem to rub some people the wrong way, but he is cared for and beloved by a great many more.

Unfortunately, that hasn't prevented him from getting cancer. But the Des Moines scene has come to his rescue with a GoFundMe project and a benefit show at Lefty's at 5 pm and 9 pm on Sat, Nov 21.

And to help promote these benefits, I present a podcast of artists who know Jimi and/or performing on the show. I also have people who have written about Jimi and what he means to them and the Des Moines music scene.
